The White Sox are only 2.5 games out, but catching Detroit isn't going to be easy.

Chicago has far more games left than the Tigers do against teams that are playing .570 ball or better. The White Sox have three against the Angels, three against the Yankees and eight against the Red Sox. The Tigers have three against the Angels, and that's it.

But Chicago does have six left against Detroit.

Next up for the White Sox: Three at home against Baltimore and four on the road against Boston.
